Exhibition Description:

Curated by 33 Contemporary Gallery, this compelling exhibition delves into the profound relationship between water and life through the medium of visual art. "Bodies of Water" brings together a diverse collection of 2D artworks that explore water as an essential element of life, a source of sustenance, a symbol of purity, and a force of nature that shapes our world.

About the Theme:

Water is not just a physical element—it is a symbol, a metaphor, and an idea that permeates every aspect of our lives. We are seeking art that invites viewers to deeply consider our complex relationship with water. This could include its serene beauty, majestic power, inherent dangers, and critical necessity. From tranquil rivers to stormy oceans, from works depicting the pollution that threatens our ecosystems to those calling us to action against environmental degradation, we are looking for art that provokes thought and emotion.

Your artwork could explore water as a life-giving force, a reflective surface, or an embodiment of purity and transformation. It might confront viewers with the realities of pollution and conservation, or invite them to reflect on water’s essential role in sustaining life. We welcome all styles, from abstraction to representation—your piece does not need to be a literal depiction of water but should engage the viewer, awaken emotions, or challenge perceptions.

Opportunity for Representation:
This call and exhibition provide a unique opportunity for artists to not only gain exposure but also to be considered for future representation by 33 Contemporary Gallery.
